Hey there 👋

Some nights, even thinking about cooking feels like too much.

This is one of those recipes you keep in your back pocket for exactly that kind of day.

Minimal prep. One pan. Big flavor.

Let’s make dinner easy tonight.

🍳 Quick Tip

Cut your chicken into even-sized pieces before cooking.

It helps everything cook at the same speed—so you don’t end up with dry bites and undercooked ones in the same pan. Small step, big difference.

🍽️ Simple Recipe: Garlic Butter Chicken & Asparagus

Why you’ll love it:
It’s fast, it feels a little fancy, and it uses simple ingredients you probably already have.

Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • 1 bunch asparagus (trimmed, cut into thirds)

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • Optional: squeeze of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the pan. Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, add remaining butter and garlic. Cook about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. Add asparagus and cook 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp.

  6. Return chicken to the pan and toss everything together.

  7. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice if you like a fresh pop of flavor.

  8. (optional: add to rice)

That’s it. Dinner’s done.

💡 Confidence Boost

If your asparagus comes out a little softer than expected—still a win.

Perfect texture comes with practice, but flavor matters more. And this dish delivers on flavor every time.

🧠 Mini Lesson

Why cook in one pan?

When you cook everything in the same pan, the flavors build on each other. The browned bits from the chicken mix with the butter and garlic to create a simple, delicious sauce—no extra work required.

🔧 Bonus Tool

Large Nonstick Skillet

If you only upgrade one thing in your kitchen, make it your pan.

A good nonstick skillet:

  • Cooks food more evenly

  • Makes cleanup way faster

  • Helps prevent sticking (especially with garlic and butter recipes like this)

Look for one with a heavy bottom and enough space so your chicken isn’t crowded—this helps it get that nice golden color instead of steaming.

You don’t need complicated recipes to make something good.

Just a pan, a few ingredients, and a little momentum.

You’ve got this. 🍳
